Dr. Khatri was raised in Trichy, India, and attended college at Sri Ramachandra Medical College before moving to the US to complete her doctorate at Texas Tech.

With regard to hearing care, Pinky says it was “love at first sight". During a university tour for her undergraduate studies, she spotted a brochure listing available programs. When she read about the speech and hearing sciences program, she looked at her parents, and said, “This is it! This is what I’ve been looking for and what I want to be.” 

Back then the field was still emerging, and her parents had hoped she would become a doctor. But she followed her passion, and 25 years later, she still loves audiology. Her office is her happy place! 

As clinic manager and an audiologist, Dr. Khatri loves the flexibility and freedom her position allows her, and she enjoys seeing patients when she fills in for absent providers. 

Outside of work, Pinky stays busy with crochet, writing children’s books, and teaching leadership skills. She also introduces elementary school children to mindfulness through lessons rooted in ancient Bhakti literature.
